Couple’s Portrait Photography Session in Swedish Wilderness

Every lunchtime while visiting a colleague in Sweden, we’d visit Lill-Annas Cafe next to the studio, run by Maria, the little blonde with the cutest dimpled smile you’ve ever seen.

In between being treated to the odd free slice of exceptionally good cake, we’d chat, and soon devised a plan for an impromptu couple’s portrait photography session along with Maria’s loving boyfriend, Oscar. This plan revolved heavily around the few short steps with hair (Ego), makeup (Bare Solutions) and wardrobe, to turn Maria into Elsa, the Disney princess from Frozen. I think it worked out pretty well.

A nearby old quarry surrounded by autumnal trees with incredible colours was the setting. The antler of an elk and a passing Great Dane puppy brought us a lovely quirky, arty, and typically Swedish feel I think, and ‘voila!’ a princess was born.

And they all lived happily ever after…
